 IRON - WAY 

Located in the Hwangtae (Dried Pollock) Village of Yongdae 3-ri, the 'Inje Iron Way' Maebawi Course is a breathtaking rock climbing route installed on Maebawi Rock (100m high) in Yongdae-ri, Inje-gun, Gangwon-do.


As Asia's first Via Ferrata, the 'Iron Way' is a highly accessible adventure sports course where you can easily scale the rock face with just about 30 minutes of training, even without any professional rock climbing skills. By following the sturdy steel cables and iron steps secured to the rock face, it safely opens the path to the sky for everyone.


Step by step, ascend the rock to uncover the breathtaking hidden landscapes of Inje, and take on the thrilling adventure of passing right under the refreshing streams of an artificial waterfall!

STEP 01Book tickets online or
at the ticket office

STEP 02Move to the Iron Way site
(20-25 minute drive)

STEP 03Put on safety gear and
receive the safety briefing

STEP 04Experience the Iron Way course

STEP 05Return safety gear and
finish the activity

Cautions
  • Operations may be suspended in case of severe weather.
  • Immediate boarding at your requested online reservation time may not be possible due to overlapping bookings.
    If you need a guaranteed boarding time, please contact us by phone in advance.
  • Entry is strictly prohibited for anyone under the influence of alcohol / Patients with joint (shoulder, hip, knee, ankle) or 
    spinal/disc issues are not allowed / Pregnant women are not allowed to participate.
  • Please wear comfortable clothing that does not interfere with the climbing gear and your movement.
  • For your safety, please familiarize yourself with the on-site instructions and strictly follow all directions given by the operational staff.
